This year Mid America celebrated the Corvette’s that ran in the million dollar Corvette Challenge race series of 1988-9. I took this as an opportunity to share with you the genesis of these cars and how Corvette racing between 1985 and 1989 led to the ZR-1 of 1990.

Mike Yager is Chief Cheerleader (President) of Mid America Motor Works. As a thanks to its Corvette customers, Mid America hosts Fun Fest in mid September each year at it’s Effingham, IL headquarters.
